As I sit here contemplating the direction my life and work is to take next year, I am reminded of the many goals that I have set for myself in past years that I have yet to achieve. Looking back at various times in my development as artist and a person, I think that what I needed was time. Time to resolve for myself my techniques, to develop my world view, and most importantly gain confidence in my vision.

I was recently very inspired by Outliers: The Story of Success by Malcolm Gladwell

A book that inspired me and encouraged me--one every artist should read. I would like to pause and give thanks to my husband and my family, for making me who I am, and providing me with the opportunity of time.
